Barron was a two-time team captain at Alabama, where he appeared in every game over his final three seasons. The Crimson Tide led the nation in rushing, passing, scoring and total defense a year ago when Barron was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, presented annually to the nation’s best defensive back.
29. Antoine Caldwell, RG – Caldwell isn’t as bad as he looked last season. In fact, Caldwell tried to tough it out with two high ankle sprains which hampered his performance and caused Caldwell to get “very down on himself” according to sources with the team.

Based on his skillset and deployment for the Alabama defense, Hightower looks as though he could play strongside linebacker in the 4-3, anywhere in the 3-4 and alongside Jerod Mayo in the nickel.
For all we know McKenzie could opt to simply part ways with McClain if his legal woes and potential suspension lead to a lost season. Curry is already down to his last chance to validate his starting job. McKenzie isn’t the type to keep freakish athletes on scholarship.
