The Alabama Crimson Tide took down the Lamar Cardinals 75-47 on Tuesday night in Coleman Coliseum. Alabama improves to 6-0 (0-0 SEC) on the season and Lamar falls to 1-6 (0-0 Southland).

The Crimson Tide had 35 points from the bench, led by Rodney Cooper with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Retin Obosohan clocked in 13 points as a starter and Levi Randolph and Dakota Slaughter both scored 10. Alabama did turn over the ball 13 times.

Lamar was led by starting forward Stan White with 14 points in the losing effort. Lamar was 14% from beyond the arc and 37% from FG range. They also turned the ball over 17 times. Head Coach Pat Knight was ejected from the game after auguing with officials.

The Tide outsocored the Cardinals 39-20 and that’s eventually what made the difference in a game that, in the first half, Alabama seemed to loosen up a bit. The Tide had no problem shutting down Lamar from there and continue to hold on to the lead.

Alabama will travel to Ohio to take on the Big East in a game against Cincinnati Saturday. Tip is at 2pm. ESPN2 will have the TV coverage and the Crimson Tide Sports Network will have the radio call.
