Alabama Football: C.J. Mosley's Tweets Hint at Return in 2013

It’s been a foregone conclusion for weeks now that Alabama Crimson Tide junior linebacker C.J. Mosley would forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the 2013 NFL Draft as a projected first round pick.

Earlier this week it was reported that Alabama juniors Eddie Lacy and D.J. Fluker would enter the NFL Draft a year early. It seemed only a matter of time before Mosley along with cornerback Dee Milliner would declare themselves eligible as well.

While that is still possible, Mosley took to twitter this afternoon to hit at a possible return to Tuscaloosa in 2013 for his senior season.

The first tweet was sent along with a picture from graduation on Saturday afternoon. I found it interesting considering the general thought process of Mosley declaring for the draft. This appears to show that Mosley has the intention of coming back to school to get his degree.

I thought I was possibly reading too much into it until Mosley tweeted this:

Now, this doesn’t mean all that much. Obviously, the allure of becoming a millionaire in April could ultimately push Mosley to make the jump to the next level, but I feel much better about Alabama’s chances of keeping Mosley another year after seeing these tweets this afternoon.

It would be huge for the Crimson Tide if they were able to bring back Mosley, who had an All American season this year. Mosley has been fantastic with 99 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 2 interceptions. He’s the leading tackler on the team by a wide margin.

Having their All American linebacker return to school for another year would only further strengthen the Crimson Tide’s grip on being preseason No. 1 in 2013.
