3 Best Attributes: Tackling, Vision, and Play Position

Though not the most impressive recruit in the commitment list, Walker’s LOI certainly adds to the linebacking core that needs some depth. He’s been committed to the Crimson Tide since mid-July, but had offers from mainly SEC and ACC teams and was interested in Stanford and Ohio State in his early recruiting. In Jones’ highlights, the one thing that sticks out is his tackling ability, something that has been lacking recently in college football. He is able to bring down the Wguys he’s assigned to bring down on the first shot. Another great attribute of this linebacker recruit from Cordova, Tennessee is that he can provide some run support on up-the-middle plays especially. He’s fit, but ideally, he needs to gain some more weight and leg strength to be able to stop SEC offenses. He also needs to work on his vision, as there isn’t much evidence that he is able to read the offense well. Nonetheless, Jones will make an excellent addition to the Crimson Tide’s recruiting class.
