Alabama Hockey returns to the ice this Friday night for a playoff game against South Carolina. The Frozen Tide, ranked No. 5, meet the Gamecocks in a single elimination game at 7:30PM local time. The regional tournament is being held at the Plex Indoor Sports Arena in Columbia, SC. The winner goes on to play again on Saturday for a chance to compete in the ACHA national championships in March.

The Frozen Tide plays at the club level for the American Collegiate Hockey Association regionally in the Southeastern Collegiate Hockey Conference. The Tide, winners of the SECHC championship last season, is seeded No. 2 in the SECHC tournament beginning February 22.

Frozen Tide games can be heard on The Frozen Tide Network. For more information on club hockey, you can visit the ACHA site here or visit Bama Hockey online.
