The Crimson Tide on Saturday beat the Stanford Cardinal 66-54 in the NIT’s 2nd round game in Tuscaloosa. Alabama now gets to take on the Maryland Terrapins after their 62-52 win over Denver. The game will once again be held in Coleman Coliseum on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30pm central time. The game will be televised by ESPN. The winner of this game gets to move on to the semifinals, which are held in Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY.
Maryland has quite a record on their resume. They finished the season 22-12 (10-11 ACC) and an RPI of 71. They have signature wins over two teams that made the tournament: NC State (Won 51-50) and Duke (Won twice). Their questionable losses to Boston College and Georgia Tech, coupled with their 2-8 road record, are probably what kept this team out of the tournament.
Maryland is stacked in talent. They are led by two dynamic sophomores in guard Dez Wells and center Alex Len. Both of these players average around 12 points a game. Len also has the most blocks on the team with 60. But they aren’t the only ones with weapons offensively. Senior guard Logan Aronholt shoots 44 percent from three-point range. They are a great rebounding team, with a +8.8 average rebound margin over their opponents. Their weakest spot has to be free throw percentage, but it’s still decent at 68 percent.

Remaining tickets will be available at the Coleman Coliseum Ticket Office, beginning Monday morning at 9 a.m. The complementary youth tickets are on a first-come first-serve basis and available only while supplies last.
