Alabama Crimson Tide guard Chance Warmack gave the Tide consecutive draft picks after being selected 10th overall by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the NFL Draft. His former teammate Dee Milliner was selected one pick ahead of him by the New York Jets.
Warmack was rated by many as the top guard in the draft, but North Carolina’s Jonathan Cooper went off the board ahead of him in a surprising move by the Arizona Cardinals. Warmack was arguably the best offensive lineman in the country last season as he dominated virtually every snap of the season. He was the catalyst in the Crimson Tide’s offensive line that helped the team win their second consecutive National Championship.
Along with becoming the second Tide player picked in the Top 10 in tonight’s draft, Warmack became the sixth Alabama player selected in the Top 10 over the past three years.
