AJ McCarron No. 4 Rated Player in EA Sports NCAA Football ’14

Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron is one of the top players in the online gaming world, according to one sports gaming website.

McCarron is the fourth-rated player in the forthcoming NCAA 2014 game, according to Tradition Sports Online. The site lists the two-time BCS Champion QB among its top players in the upcoming release from sports gaming titan EA Sports.

The Tide passer, who will likely be one of the favorites in the race for this year’s Heisman trophy, earns a 97 overall rating from the site, based on attributes such as Speed, Agility and Elusiveness.

In the article, the site notes of McCarron:

While he can get you that few feet you may need for a first down, his 95 THA is the best in the game and should be used to shred defenses to pieces.  Alabama’s traditionally strong running games are the perfect marriage for a play action QB like McCarron and will be even more devastating to defenses if you have unlocked the ‘Setup Artist’ coach skill.

The site ranks South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney the top overall player, with Texas A&M QB and reigning Heisman winner Johnny Manziel ranked second. Oregon HB De’Anthony Thomas is just ahead of McCarron.

McCarron isn’t the only Crimson Tide player making the cut, either. Linebacker C.J. Moseley is rated sixth on the list.

EA Sports’ NCAA Football ’14 will be available July 9.
