Alabama Football: 5Dimes Posts Tide's Initial Win Total for 2013 Season

Online sportsbook 5Dimes has released their initial college football win totals for the 2013 college football season, and as expected, they are bullish on the Alabama Crimson Tide’s outlook for the upcoming year. Here’s the initial over/under for Alabama:

Over 11.5 (+140)

Under 11.5 (-180)

For those of you unfamiliar with gambling, you would bet $100 to win $140 if you took the over. If you took the under, you would be betting $180 to win $100.

An over/under of 11.5 shows the enormous expectations that have been placed on the Crimson Tide this season. Anything short of their third consecutive National Championship, and fourth in five years, would be labeled as a disappointment among fans and media alike.

All signs point toward Alabama being the consensus #1 team in the nation to open the season as they look to successfully defend their crown once again. The Tide’s schedule sets up nicely for another run at a BCS National Championship as they will not see any of the trio of Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina from the SEC East during the regular season.

If they can navigate their way through an early road tilt in College Station against Texas A&M, in what promises to be the best college football game of the season, then the Crimson Tide could very well capture their third straight BCS Title, and cement themselves as one of the greatest dynasties in the history of collegiate athletics.

The countdown to kickoff marches on and we are but 67 days away from the Crimson Tide’s date in the Georgia Dome with Virginia Tech.

For you other degenerates, Kegs N Eggs has posted all 19 of the win totals on 5Dimes for you to take a look at.

So, Tide fans, what do you think? Over/Under 11.5 wins for Alabama next season?
