Oregon Tops Alabama in New Fansided Top 25 Poll

The Oregon Ducks have overtaken the Alabama Crimson Tide in the latest Fansided Top 25 poll, released on Monday.

Oregon had been threatening to take over the top spot since last week, and with Alabama’s lackluster performance against Colorado State, the Ducks gained enough votes to take over, despite being idle last weekend and receiving fewer first-place votes than the Tide. Oregon’s overall point total was the deciding factor in overtaking Alabama.

Alabama remains in first place in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.

The Stanford Cardinal and LSU Tigers each received one first-place vote. Stanford moved into third place in the poll, and LSU took sixth place. The Clemson Tigers were No. 4, and Ohio State rounded out the top five.

Seven Southeastern Conference teams made the poll, with Texas A&M (9), Georgia, (11) South Carolina (15), Ole Miss (19) and Florida (20) all in the top 25.

Should an undefeated Alabama have lost its spot to Oregon? Let us know your thoughts.

Undefeated Michigan continues to drop in the poll, and after another lackluster performance settles in at 23.

Maybe if Oregon played a ranked team sometime we would see how good they really are. Running up the score on very weak teams doesn’t mean you are good. Boise State plays very weak teams 99% of the time and runs the score up but that doesn’t mean they are good.

Okay I looked it up … and apparently the Fansided Top 25 doesn’t mean squat …

Alabama beat the number sixth-ranked TEAM at their place who has Oregon BEAT… Arizona State was beat by WISCONSIN. But the zebra’s change the score… By not letting them have their Field goal try… Alabama played their second & third team players….. And only five people seizure report anyway… What you have is not a poll is not even a stick, who cares what y’all think… Have a nice day Roll Tide

What do I think about this poll? Bwaa Haww Haww Haww!!! I think you have too many Homers hittin’ the bottle before they vote. Does 70 points against high schools impress you? Then why not put Louisville, Baylor, Ohio St, Miami, etc all ahead of Bama? Has Oregon played anything like the #6 team in the country? Have any of those teams mentioned played anything like the #6 team in the country? Will any of those teams mentioned play anyone ranked #6 in the country or higher before the regular season ends? The answer is NO!, NO!, and probably NOT! Bama doesn’t play like that anyway. Football is not about embarrassing a helpless team. Well, not unless it’s Auburn anyway. Bwaa Haww Haww! I think the only team in 30 years we have scored over 60 on was Georgia State in their first year ever playing football. Anyway, there are only 3 ranking entities who count. USAToday, Harris, and the combined BCS computers. You don’t count – and for that matter neither does the AP. How does irrelevancy feel? RTR!

Gezz, I can’t believe the Oregon love on this rag. RTR!
