Oregon Tops Alabama in New Fansided Top 25 Poll

The Oregon Ducks have overtaken the Alabama Crimson Tide in the latest Fansided Top 25 poll, released on Monday.

Oregon had been threatening to take over the top spot since last week, and with Alabama’s lackluster performance against Colorado State, the Ducks gained enough votes to take over, despite being idle last weekend and receiving fewer first-place votes than the Tide. Oregon’s overall point total was the deciding factor in overtaking Alabama.

Alabama remains in first place in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls.

The Stanford Cardinal and LSU Tigers each received one first-place vote. Stanford moved into third place in the poll, and LSU took sixth place. The Clemson Tigers were No. 4, and Ohio State rounded out the top five.

Seven Southeastern Conference teams made the poll, with Texas A&M (9), Georgia, (11) South Carolina (15), Ole Miss (19) and Florida (20) all in the top 25.

Undefeated Michigan continues to drop in the poll, and after another lackluster performance settles in at 23.
