Alabama Crimson Tide Tuesday (09/24) Practice Notes

The first-ranked Crimson Tide took preparation for Ole Miss this coming up Saturday indoors as it rained in Tuscaloosa today.

Senior safety Nick Perry continues to be the only Alabama player in a black, non-contact jersey as he continues to deal with a shoulder injury.

Wide receiver Amari Cooper, who missed last Saturday’s game against Colorado State, was said to have looked to be running fine as he comes off his toe injury.

Cornerback Deion Belue, who also missed the game against CSU, was not spotted limping as he continues to practice as well.

After all of the freshmen running backs wore scout jerseys on Monday, that remained the same except or Altee Tenpenny. Tenpenny was wearing his usual #23 jersey while the others remain on the scout team.

Safety Jarrick Williams continues to practice but is wearing a shield on his helmet to protect his injured eye.

Anthony Steen continues to practice and viewers mentioned that the offensive line appeared to be very intense today.

Tonight the NFL Network premiers the documentary, “Derrick Thomas: A Football Life,” at 7 PM CT. It focuses on the life and playing days of former Alabama and Kansas City Chiefs great Derrick Thomas, who died in 2000 from injuries suffered a traffic accident. Thomas set several sack and tackle-for-loss records at both Alabama and the Chiefs.

Alabama returns to practice tomorrow and Nick Saban will speak to the media and likely give an update on Nick Perry’s injury in the process.
