Alabama head coach Nick Saban confirmed that strong safety Vinnie Sunseri would miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury early in Saturday’s win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Saban declined to reveal the specifics of the injury but did say he would have surgery to repair it on Tuesday.
Sophomore Landon Collins will replace him as starting strong safety going forward. Sunseri was a Mid-Season All-American on several lists and was emerging as one of the leaders of the Tide defense.
More from Saban’s press conference today and practice later.
