Some Alabama Crimson Tide fans were calling us prophets during the Iron Bowl, when we had this to say once it became apparent Alabama would have one second left to attempt something amazing:
Griffith is in for the field goal with one second remaining in the game. Get set for maybe the most insane ending in Iron Bowl history.

Now a fortune cookie in the hands of Alabama cornerback Cyrus Jones has given Tide fans even more reason to expect the unexpected. Jones posted this photo to his Instagram account earlier today:
Alabama has had some amazing luck the last couple of years, backing into the BCS National Championship game after late season losses. This year, while it’s highly unlikely lightning would strike three times in a row, it’s not inconceivable that the Crimson Tide could back into yet another title game.
Tide fans will be hoping for a Missouri win in this weekend’s SEC Championship game, followed by a Michigan State win over Ohio State. Less likely would be a Duke victory over Florida State in the ACC Championship game, but with the drama surrounding Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston, anything is possible.
While Alabama fans should prepare themselves for a likely Orange Bowl berth against the likes of Clemson, stranger things have happened. And while Auburn likes to consider themselves a team of destiny, a third consecutive backdoor title shot for Alabama would make believers of even the most cynical football fan.
