AJ McCarron Named Finalist for Walter Camp Player of the Year Award

Alabama Crimson Tide senior quarterback AJ McCarron was named a finalist for the Walter Camp National Player of the Year Award, along with Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, Boston College quarterback Andre Williams, Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel. Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o won the award last year.

McCarron is also a finalist for the Maxwell Award (Player of the Year), Manning Award (Best QB), Davey O’Brien Award (Best QB), Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (Best QB) and the Senior Class Award.

Fellow senior teammate CJ Mosley is a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award (Defensive Player of the Year), Bronko Nagurski Award (Defensive Player of the Year), Lombardi Award (Best Lineman/LB), and Butkus Award (Best LB).
