Alabama RB Kenyan Drake Tweets He’s Not Transferring

Alabama Crimson Tide fans wondering where running back Kenyan Drake was during the Sugar Bowl loss to the Oklahoma Sooners can go back and look at the footage. Drake was spotted on special teams, but did not carry the ball for the Tide.

Now Drake has taken to Twitter to quash rumors that he may be set to transfer to another school.

Drake became a fan favorite after electrifying runs earlier this season, but ball control issues plagued him – and, it should be said, starting running back T.J. Yeldon – and he has been thought to be in the doghouse with the coaching staff.

Drake spoke to us off the record about his status, and we’re glad to see him saying publicly that he’s sticking around. Here’s hoping a new year brings a new dedication to put Alabama back in the hunt next season.
