ESPN is reporting that Alabama Crimson Tide safety HaHa Clinton-Dix and left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio will forgo their senior seasons to enter the NFL Draft.
A press conference has been called by the university for 4:30 central on Thursday, and it is expected the two juniors, along with linebacker Adrian Hubbard and defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan, will attend.
Clinton-Dix was almost a sure bet to head for the pros. He finished fourth among Alabama players in tackles (52) and tied for first in interceptions with two. Clinton-Dix is ranked the No. 1 safety and the No. 2 defensive back among draft-eligible players by ESPN’s Scouts, Inc.
Kouandjio was less of a certainty. Prior to the Sugar Bowl, the 6-foot-5, 310-pound tackle said he was “50-50″ on turning pro. He is listed as the N0. 4 offensive tackle by Scouts.
Clinton-Dix and Kouandjio are ranked at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively, on draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr.’s Big Board
