Sunseri, a fan favorite among Tide nation, returned interceptions for touchdowns in each of Alabama’s first two games this past season. Against Arkansas, Sunseri tore his ACL and was out the remainder of the season.
While not the most gifted athlete on the Alabama defense, Sunseri is a ball hawk and a vocal leader on the field. He’s also a leader on the defense responsible for getting the secondary in the right position, and that leadership will be sorely missed.
