AJ McCarron Is Ready to Prove Doubters Wrong

AJ McCarron proved his critics wrong during his time as the Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback. While in Tuscaloosa, McCarron broke most of Alabama’s passing records on the way to a 36-4 record and two national championships.

Now the product of Mobile is ready to prove his doubters wrong at the next level.

McCarron told al.com he would skip the Senior Bowl in his hometown of Mobile.

“I really appreciate being invited to play in the Senior Bowl,” McCarron said. “It is quite an honor and something I’ve dreamed about while growing up in the Mobile area. However, at this time, I’m putting all of my focus and energy into preparing for the NFL Combine, pro day and the rest of the pre-draft evaluation process. Therefore, I won’t be taking part in the Senior Bowl.”

McCarron is projected by many experts to be a second- to third-round pick. Scouts, Inc. ranks McCarron as the 43rd best player and the fourth-best quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft.
