Alabama RB Alvin Kamara To Transfer

It was revealed on Friday that redshirt freshman running back Alvin Kamara will be transferring from Alabama. The Norcross, GA native was given his release from the football team.

Kamara had a rough 2013, having to undergo meniscus surgery during fall camp, and then being suspended twice during the season for “behavioral reasons.”

With Alabama loaded at the RB position, it was expected Kamara would have a hard time cracking the lineup, and more playing time was likely another reason for his decision.

Kamara is expected to transfer to an ACC school, possibly Clemson or Florida State. Kamara is second player to leave Alabama so far this off season joining quarterback Luke Del Rio.

Crimson Tide defensive back HaHa Clinton-Dix, who recently declared for the NFL Draft, took to Twitter to caution fans not to overreact:
