It was revealed on Friday that redshirt freshman running back Alvin Kamara will be transferring from Alabama. The Norcross, GA native was given his release from the football team.
Kamara had a rough 2013, having to undergo meniscus surgery during fall camp, and then being suspended twice during the season for “behavioral reasons.”
With Alabama loaded at the RB position, it was expected Kamara would have a hard time cracking the lineup, and more playing time was likely another reason for his decision.
Crimson Tide defensive back HaHa Clinton-Dix, who recently declared for the NFL Draft, took to Twitter to caution fans not to overreact:
There goes the FAKE bama fans bashing a player for walking through the door God has opened for him new chapter brother @A_kamara6 work hard!
