The University of Alabama has filed suit against former assistant coach Mike Groh, according to TideSports.com.

Alabama is seeking $57,000 or 20 percent of the former wide receivers coach’s $285,000 contract for what the university considers breach of contract.

According to the complaint filed by the university, Alabama “made written demands on Defendant for the payment of the liquidated damages” but the “Defendant has refused, and continues to refuse, to pay the liquidated damages.”

A PDF of the complaint may be found here.

Groh left his position with the Crimson Tide after the 2012 season to become the wide receivers coach for the Chicago Bears.
