Altee Tenpenny Facing Marijuana Possession Charges

Alabama Crimson Tide running back Altee Tenpenny was arrested over spring break and charged with possession on a controlled substance, according to al.com.

Tenpenny was stopped by police in his hometown of North Little Rock, Ark., for an inoperational license plate light. The officer at the scene detected the “odor of burnt marijuana,” according to the incident report, and a vehicle search resulted in the officer finding a bag containing marijuana.

The Tide sophomore back is due in court on April 10 to face the charges.
Tenpenny saw action in all 13 games as a true freshman last season, racking up 22 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. He also rang up five tackles on special teams. With Alabama’s depth at running back, Tenpenny has been seen as the number four option, behind T.J. Yeldon, Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake.
