Wednesday afternoon the Alabama Crimson Tide hit the practice field again as spring practices continue in full pads.
Despite his arrest over spring break due to marijuana possession sophomore tailback Altee Tenpenny was on the practice field. Nick Saban issued a statement this afternoon saying that his punishment, as far as from the team, will come “internally.” He’s going to have to crawl out of the dog house at this point.
Saban mentioned earlier this week that experimentation would start soon across the offensive line and that has already started now. Today Leon Brown was working at multiple positions while Brandon Greene was working at right tackle with Austin Shepherd at left tackle with them switching sides from their usual spots. Grant Hill was playing guard mostly, he’s spent the majority of spring at tackle.
Linebacker Reggie Ragland remained with outside linebackers today, the second practice in a row. Ragland was also working some at inside linebacker as well.
Today Jarran Reed, Brandon Ivory, and A’Shawn Robinson were leading the defensive line in position drills. On Monday it was Reed, Ivory, and DJ Pettway.
The newest member of Alabama’s “support staff”, Tosh Lupoi, was in attendance at today’s practice for the first time today.
Incoming freshman linebacker Keith Holcombe was taking in practice today from the sidelines. Former Alabama players Cyrus Kouandjio, Anthony Steen, Josh Chapman, Jesse Williams, and Chance Warmack were also in attendance at today’s practice. All of those players are either already in the NFL or about to be.
