Alabama Cornerback Eddie Jackson Out With Torn ACL

In what is very bad news for Alabama fans, sophomore cornerback Eddie Jackson is out with a torn ACL after an injury during the Crimson Tide’s first spring scrimmage on Saturday.

ESPN reported Sunday night that Jackson injured his knee by landing awkwardly after catching a pass. He will miss the remainder of spring practice.

“Eddie was having a great spring and probably our best corner, most consistent,” Saban said of the injury.

Jackson saw action in seven games as a true freshman last season, starting in four games. He had 19 tackles on the year, and added an interception and two fumble recoveries. Before his injury, Jackson had been working with the first team on defense.
