Alabama Football Podcast: A-Day Wrapup

In this episode Tom and Dave discuss Alabama’s A-Day game.  What clues did this game leave as to the success the Tide may have in 2014?

Highlights of or discussion include:

Quarterback.  Not only do we discuss the play on the field and the potential player walking the sideline but we get into the minds of the fans, some of which are paying attention and others not so much.

Offensive Line.  Perhaps not many surprises across the starting unit but some surprises in the 2 deep.  We talk about the incoming freshmen and how they have an opportunity to make immediate impacts.

Skill Positions.  Amazing depth of talent along with some spectacular plays and surprising play calls – good and bad.

Stacked Defensive Line.  the depth and versatility among this group is impressive.  We’re looking at a strength of the 2014 team right here.

Linebackers.  Replacing Mosley is no small feat but talent abounds.  Who surprised us?  Who has earned a new starting role?

Defensive Backs.  How does this position grade out?  With 6 positions to fill, including Star and Money (nickel and dime), there’s still lots of opportunity for a roster of talented athletes to compete over.
