Alabama football is a hot ticket. In fact, it’s among the most expensive, according to a new list.
The National Football Post published its list of the top ten most expensive tickets of the 2014 college football season, and two Crimson Tide games made the cut.
Alabama’s trip to Death Valley to take on the LSU Tigers on Nov. 8 is ranked second – behind only the Michigan-Ohio State game – with an average ticket price of $616.40. Over the last several seasons, the winner of that game has had the inside track to the SEC Western Division crown.
The Post says of the matchup:
Alabama cruised to a 38-17 win over LSU last season when they played at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL last season. The Crimson Tide ended the season with an impressive 11-2 record and went 7-1 in SEC games. The Tigers also had a notable season, going 10-3 and 5-3 in SEC games.
In sixth place is the 2014 renewing of the Alabama-Auburn rivalry. Tickets to that showdown are sitting at $383.52, but could rise if both teams are heading toward undefeated seasons. As noted in the article:
While this game was easily one of the most memorable of the college football season last year, it’s not surprising it’s the most expensive home game on the 2014 Alabama football schedule.
Anyone already have their Alabama football tickets? And more importantly, can we have two?
