Alabama Baseball Names David Kindred Director Of Baseball Operations

The University of Alabama named David Kindred as the new Director of Baseball Operations. He played for the Tide from 2009-11, while earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business. For the past two years Kindred served as a Strategy Specialist with Regions Financial Corporation in Birmingham.

In a statement released by Alabama, head coach Mitch Gaspard praised Kindred.

“David was an outstanding player and a teammate during his three years as a player, and we expect him to bring the passion and energy to the Director of Operations position that he had when he was a student-athlete at Alabama.”

Kindred interned with Crimson Tide Sports Marketing during graduate school, so he’s already familiar with many aspects of the baseball program. His recent business experience added to his background while obtaining his degrees at the Capstone should be a nice fit for the Crimson Tide.
