At long last the SEC Network launches today, and fans of the greatest conference in college football will be able to get their fill of games, analysis and history. In case you missed FanSided’s preview, go check it out.
BamaHammer did a breakdown of the details of the network, so fans who need to know if they will have access can find out.
The network launches Thursday at 6 p.m. ET with SEC Now, the network’s three-hour studio highlight and news show featuring reports from all 14 SEC campuses. Following at 9 p.m. ET will be the first of four new SEC Storied specials, “The Stars Are Aligned.”
A rebroadcast of SEC Now will be broadcast at 10 p.m.
According to the SEC’s website, the rich history of the conference will be on display from the start:
Notable figures on and off the field, lent their voices in an opening essay that speaks to the tradition, pageantry and storied history of the SEC. Peyton, Eli and Archie Manning, Shaquille O’Neal, Dara Torres and Joe Namath are among the 31 voices that will ring for the SEC. Their words will be the first etched in SEC Network history. They will be expanded upon over the course of the show – and the year ahead – by a talented pool of SEC Network commentators, 15 of which are involved in the opening show. In total, the premiere night will include 21 anchors, reporters and analysts in studio and reporting live from campuses.
