Tide target DeAndre McNeal set his announcement date today via his Twitter account. McNeal will make his decision known on December 20th.

Hailing from Mesquite, TX, McNeal is rated as a three-star athlete according to 247Sports’ rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 44 athlete in the country.

The 6 foot-2 inch, 228 pound prospect holds offers from Ohio State, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State among others. His crystal ball predictions are currently in favor of the Tide with 46 percent of the picks, which is slight lead over Ohio State with 33 percent.

McNeal’s Bama offer came from Coach Billy Napier back in May of this year, with McNeal coming to Tuscaloosa to camp in July. During that camp, McNeal worked out for the staff at H-Back, tight end, wide receiver and linebacker but wants to stay on offense if possible.

He has also visited UCLA, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Auburn during the summer. McNeal turned in an impressive performance at Ohio State’s camp back in June, dominating at both wide receiver and linebacker. Marc Givler of BuckeyeGrove.com(Rivals) had him as the top overall performer and also reported that McNeal had ran a 10.88 100 meter dash.
