Four-star defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter announced tonight via his Twitter account that he was flipping his commitment from the Crimson Tide to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Ledbetter, a 6-foot-4 265 pound prospect hailing from Tucker, GA, had taken visits to Auburn, Georgia, and Cal since committing to Coach Saban and the Crimson Tide staff back in January of this year. The rumors of Ledbetter’s flip have been the talk in recruiting with most expecting it to happen anytime now and sooner, rather than later.
John Garcia, Jr of Scout.com reported that the Alabama coaching staff was aware of the chances and that it was pretty much a question of when, not if. Ledbetter’s older brother, Joseph, camped in Athens back in July and earned an offer from the Bulldog staff, committing on the spot. He spent the past two years playing Division II basketball.
The Tide currently has 20 verbal commits for the class of 2015 after you factor in Ledbettter’s decommitment. The class is still ranked as number one across the boards and should finish in the same spot, barring any major shake ups between now and National Signing Day.
