Alabama head coach Nick Saban has been called out by country group The Band Perry to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The Mobile, Al.-based group, composed of siblings Kimberly Perry, Reid Perry, and Neil Perry, took part in the social media craze/charity drive, and posted their video online. The charity benefits The ALS Association, which raises money for research and patient services related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
In the video, each member of the group takes a turn dousing themselves in a bucket of ice-cold water, then challenging someone else to do the same.
Reid Perry goes last, and challenges Saban to follow suit.
“Three kids from Alabama here,” Reid Perry says in the video. “I want to nominate Nick Saban and the entire Alabama football team, Roll Tide.”
No word as yet on whether Saban or anyone on the team has accepted the challenge, but Nick Saban has given extensively to charity, notably through his Nick’s Kids Fund. And if we know anything about Miss Terry, she’s going to goad him into doing this.
We just hope he handles ice water baths better than he does Gatorade:
