Alabama Football: Tide Will Be Fueled Again by Latest Media Shot from Ole Miss

"After Ole Miss’ 24-3 scrap with Memphis that assured the Rebels would be undefeated when they face Alabama, Prewitt said this, according to Fox Sports’ Brandon Speck:“We understand that we haven’t played a team that’s going to be as good as Bama. But we don’t really think Bama is as good as they have been. And we’re better than we have been. We’re looking forward to getting to the game plan and really nailing down all the tweaks and stuff that we’re going to have to put into Bama.”"

Oh, dear. When will Ole Miss ever learn? This didn’t work out too well for them last year when Bo Wallace made his comments and I’m sure this will make its way back to the players. It just doesn’t pay to say this stuff. Have respect for your opponent and let your play do your talking. I really didn’t think this week would go by without a comment from Ole Miss, considering how undisciplined they play on the field each week. It’s a constant thing under Hugh Freeze.

Alabama New No.1 In Coaches Poll; Stays Three In AP

"Alabama may have been off this weekend for the bye week but they moved into the number one spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Tide only received 15 first place votes but with 1477 points, gained enough to take over the slot from Florida State which received 26 first place votes."

Not a lot of news out there with Alabama being off on Saturday so here is one of ours on the polls that were released yesterday. Alabama jumps into the number one spot in the Coaches Poll and remains at three in the AP Poll.

Alabama transfer Dee Hart keys CSU’s early success

"Dee Hart was part of many big-time wins during his three-season stay at Alabama — but not in the ways he had hoped for, not as the Crimson Tide’s top ground gainer and game-breaker at the running back position.Plagued by knee injuries that led to two major surgeries, he was a spectator as a redshirt in 2011 and then a special-teams player and only an occasional ball carrier when he could suit up as a redshirt freshman in 2012 and sophomore in 2013.Now, as a junior in eligibility and a graduate student in the CSU classroom, Hart has been a major part of the Rams’ 3-1 start, including their 24-21 comeback victory over Boston College on the road Saturday."

I’m still excited for Dee Hart and also Coach McElwain, too. It’s great to see them doing so well and I hope their success will continue.

Alabama Soccer Sweeps the Tennessee Trip, Taking Down Vandy 1-0

We made it a little more difficult on Vanderbilt in the second half, and I think our players responded to the halftime challenge really well.”"
