Most fans know this but if you don’t, please listen. If you watch or are in attendance and don’t see the offense going all out like they did against Auburn, Texas A&M, Missouri or others, please don’t be alarmed. You won’t see much for this one. Everything will be vanilla and no complex packages will be put on display. Never put all of your cards on the table with five months for your opponents to prepare.

Remember, these guys have really only been back at real football practice for 14 times. There will be some rust. On top of that, you have to figure in all of the injuries and the fact that some younger guys will have to step up and play.

I know some will expect that we will come out of A-Day knowing who the quarterback for 2015 is going to be. There is a small possibility we may know who leads but we won’t be for sure. Remember last year? Blake Sims looked pretty bad during the spring and we all saw his turnaround for the season. Again, 14 practices. If anyone wants to know, you can ask Coach Nick Saban. I’m just kidding. If you have the chance to do that, don’t do it.

I want to see how the back field is on defense this season with Coach Kirby Smart making a move and the additions of Coach Mel Tucker and Coach Tosh Lupoi. The secondary was an area of concern for Tide fans for the past few seasons so hopefully, they have some of those kinks worked out.

I am looking to see the quarterbacks but I know there’s not much that we will be able to take away. How will the wide receivers do with the tall task of having to make up for the loss of Amari Cooper? We know Derrick Henry is a beast but I’m excited to see Kenyan Drake back out there. That’s one tough and resilient guy. I admire him for his attitude during his injury and his strong will to get back.

Just kick back and watch the game with no expectations. We aren’t coming out to play like the Tide against Notre Dame in Miami. It is a fun event to attend and spend some time with at least 50.000 of your closest friends. And that’s if it’s a bad turnout. If you are at home, kick back with your favorite snack and beverage and let’s watch Alabama beat Alabama. I’ll see myself out.

Let us know in the comments section what you are most looking forward to see whether it’s old friends on The Quad or something on the field.

Be sure to check back after the game. Bama Hammer will have a recap with what stats are made available, Coach Saban’s press conference as well as a photo gallery if any are made available from our partners.

Roll Tide!
