(RollTide.com)

"Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban and former Alabama punter Chris Mohr will be paired with Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney and former Clemson quarterback Steve Fuller in the opening round of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge, tournament officials announced today."

Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney find themselves paired together once more this year – but this time, they’re on the same team. The duo will be part of a four man scramble group in the 2016 Chick Fil A Peach Bowl Challenge, the nation’s premier celebrity golf tournament that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. The event will be held May 1-3 at the Reynolds Lake Oconee resort outside Atlanta.

Comeback Stalled As Baseball Falls 12-5 to #3 Mississippi State

(RollTide.com)

"Alabama baseball’s comeback effort fell short, as the third-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs claimed a 12-5 win on Thursday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. With the loss, the Crimson Tide sits at 24-19 overall and 9-10 in SEC action."

At least Bama baseball is consistent. While most of us were watching the draft, the Tide lost to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the opener of a 3 game series that continues tonight and tomorrow. Alabama did have a 3 run rally in the 6th to close the gap to 6-5, but the Dogs scored 1 in the 7th and 5 in the 9th to blow Bama out of the water by 7 runs. If you’re a glutton for punishment, watch the 2nd game of the series tonight at 7 p.m. CT on SECN+.

Alabama Women’s Basketball Adds A Pair of Junior College All-Americans To Roster

(RollTide.com)

"Tcheneavia “Coco” Knight and LaKyesha Stennis have both signed national letters of intent to suit up for the Crimson Tide women’s basketball team, head coach Kristy Curry announced on Thursday.“We are excited to add Coco and LaKyesha to our 2016 class,” said Curry. “Both will provide depth and experience to the perimeter and will provide quality minutes for our team to be successful. These young ladies have had success at their previous institutions, and we are looking for that to continue at a high level.”]"

Women’s basketball landed two top Ju-Co players in Coco Knight and LaKyesha Stennis this week. Knight, a guard from Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, scored in the double-digits 29 times last season. Stennis, also a guard, from Southwest Tennessee Community College, was a third team All-American in 2016 and averaged 20.3 points per game last year. Congrats to these ladies, and Roll Tide!
