Well, unfortunately, it is Monday. However, we got another edition of the Tide Report to bring you news from around the internet about the Alabama Crimson Tide.

ICYMI: Kenyan Drake Selected 73rd Overall by Dolphins

Usually, you would see a blonde up next to the byline for Monday, but I’m sitting in for Meredith today. She will be back, more than likely, later today with the same wit and charm that you have all grown accustomed to with her. I just won lunch at the office with that. Wait, we don’t have an office.

Report: Bama lands hoops transfer

(BamaOnline.com)

"Former Morehead State guard Corban Collins, a graduate transfer, has committed to Alabama, according to Matt Zenitz of AL.com.Collins, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard, took a visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend after visiting Starkville on Friday. He chose the Tide over Central Florida and Mississippi State. This past season at Morehead State, Collins averaged 11 points, 2.5 rebounds and three assists per game, as well as shooting 42 percent from three-point range, on the way to being named Second Team All-OVC."

While you were sleeping (hopefully, buckled up), Coach Avery Johnson was making some moves with the basketball team. They still have some scholarships to fill and hopefully, a big will soon be in the fold.

Alabama Softball Wins Rain-Shortened Game, 5-1, Over South Carolina

(RollTide.com)

"Alabama softball outlasted numerous weather delays in Sunday’s rubber match over South Carolina, eventually winning 5-1 with the game called after five innings.Alabama (43-10, 14-7 SEC) scored five unanswered runs before South Carolina (34-18, 6-15 SEC) eventually got on the board in the third inning, but the cushion proved enough as weather ended the game prematurely after five innings. Haylie McCleney went 2-3 with two RBIs, putting her just two hits shy of 300 career hits. Marisa Runyon went 2-2 with an RBI while Peyton Grantham and Kallie Case drove in the Tide’s remaining two runs."

The ladies captured yet another series this weekend on the diamond. There is only one more series left with Georgia this weekend, and then it is tournament time. Let’s hope they make some noise like they always do.

Baseball Splits Saturday Doubleheader with No. 3 Mississippi State

(RollTide.com)

"Alabama baseball split its doubleheader with third-ranked Mississippi State on Saturday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Bulldogs claimed the series win with the victory in game two of the day, while the Crimson Tide moves to 25-20 overall and 10-11 in SEC play after the twinbill.Alabama took game one in walkoff fashion, 4-3, to claim the first game of the day in extra innings. The Tide used a season-high 10 walks, including four in the ninth inning, before Chance Vincent’s walkoff single clinched the win. In game two an error brought in two early runs for the Bulldogs, which would prove to be the difference by night’s end."

Another good showing from the Tide baseball team, but they came up short on the series, losing it 2-1. It’s hard to get a read on this team. You do have to remember that Mississippi State is one of the better ball clubs in the conference, ranking at number three in the nation.

Bo Davis Details are Starting to Come Out

(Bama Hammer)

"Fast forward a few days later, and things might not be as bad as they seemed. A report on Sunday from Al.com goes into to more detail about what happened.According to the report, Davis is being investigated for making contact with several recruits during a no-contact period. None of those recruits signed with the Tide. My guess here is that we are talking about recruits in Mississippi. This reiterates my stance that we should avoid Mississippi. Just joking. Well, maybe not."

Things are looking much better on the Bo Davis front. I think we can relax.

More crimson tide: Alabama Expected to Hire Karl Dunbar as DL Coach

That’s all for the Tide Report today. Try to make it a good Monday, if that is possible.
