It’s not cocky and arrogant if you back it up. So excuse me if we Alabama fans come off arrogant – it’s just that we ain’t never been nothing but winners.

I have noticed from talk radio shows that different fan bases are calling in and talking about this thing called Alabama arrogance, suggesting that Alabama fans are arrogant about their team’s success under Nick Saban.

I am here to inform you that the Crimson Tide’s success did not begin, nor will it end, with Nick Saban. Nick Saban is the fuel-injection system on the hot rod known as Alabama. But does E.B Beaumont ring a bell to you? Likely not, but he was the first-ever Alabama football coach.

ICYMI: 5 Things You Didn’t Know – Alabama-Chattanooga

Back in 1892 when the university decided to start playing football, Beaumont went 2-2 and the was fired. Why? Because he wasn’t good enough. The people of Alabama from 1892-2016  demand greatness out of the football program, and when we have a college football Hall of Famer at head coach like Wallace Wade, Paul Bryant, and Nick Saban … look out, greatness awaits!

  • When you give a millionaire a million dollars, he puts it in the bank. It’s nothing new to them. But when you give a million dollars to a non-millionaire, they do not know how to act. Winning college football games and national championships its the same thing. Some programs know how to act because winning a national title is second nature to them. Others do not know how to handle success and are jerks about it. Like Cam Newton, always smiling on TV and doing his Superman pose and dabbing. Have you ever seen a Alabama player dabbing? Of course not, because winning in second nature at Alabama unlike at that worthless cow college where they recruit and coddle people like Cam Newton – a guy who dresses like a blind 1970s homoerotic gigolo.

Or what about that flash-in-the-pan program Miami? Remember the instant-rice like rise to prominence they had back in the 1980s? That team took not knowing how to handle success to a new level, becoming so arrogant and flamboyant that the NCAA had to rewrite on-the-field rules to counteract their degenerate gestures and other unbecoming behavior. Have you ever seen a Alabama player doing all that nonsense after a touchdown? The only rules the NCAA has written because of Alabama are from recruiting, because Saban is so good they had to rewrite the rulebook because of him.

So the next time you tune into to a CBS/ESPN game and watch Alabama, know this: Football is a big deal to Alabamaians. This is all we’ve got. There are no pro sports here. When Alabama steps on a football field they are fully intended on winning every single game they play. And with Lord Saban as head coach, your favorite team doesn’t have much of a chance.
