Arizona fans are thanking new Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne on Twitter.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday, fans thanking an outgoing athletic director. Usually fans are quick to get angry at coaches, athletic directors, or even players who leave their school.

When Rhett Lashlee left Auburn fans even changed his Wikipedia page to list him as a “trader.”

Arizona fans however are taking a different approach. Zona fans have been taking to twitter to thank Greg Byrne and wish him well. This really says something about Greg Byrne and the Arizona fanbase.

Even if they don’t want to say “Roll Tide” the sentiment is clear.

Wildcat fans are a classy bunch.

Even Mississippi State fans, who had Greg before he went to Arizona, are being great on social media.

This really tells us a lot about who Greg Byrne is and what we can expect when he gets to Alabama.

Of course not all fans are being kind. Tennessee has been looking for an athletic director for quite a while now and hill people never change.

Of course the hill people also said that Butch was going to beat Nick Saban an win them a championship, so their opinions aren’t worth much.

It’s the start of a new era at Alabama, who else is ready for more? Roll Tide!
