Alabama football is only an A-Day game away from the end of spring practice. What did Nick reveal Thursday and what will the Tide reveal on Saturday?

The Daily Insider: April 21

Before we discuss the “reveals”  let’s review the A-Day format and update practice news.

Thursday Practice News

  • Same O-Line first group as Tuesday – from left to right – Williams, Pierschbacher, Bozeman, Cotton and Womack
  • The O-Line twos in the same order were Lashley, Casher, Hassenauer, Brown and Leatherwood.
  • On the D-Line, the first group was Buggs, Payne and Hand
  • Deionte Thompson has returned to school but was not at practice. No new information other than he is cooperating with the criminal investigation.
  • A crimson Porsche belonging to Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was ticketed and booted, and later un-booted, but not un-ticketed

A-Day Particulars

  • No change in the format. The Crimson team is the No. 1 offense and the No. 2 defense. The White team is the No. 1 defense and the No. 2 offense
  • Waiter-served steak and all the accoutrements for the winners and a bucket of beans at each table for the losers.
  • Bo Scarbrough, Damien Harris, Shaun Dion Hamilton and B. J. Emmons will not participate in the scrimmage
  • For fans, don’t forget your clear bags or for the minimalist, a gallon-size Ziploc will do

Now on to the big reveal – or not. For fans hoping for a big reveal of the new Saban-Daboll offense on Saturday, Thursday’s reveal by Nick Saban will have to suffice.

On Thursday, Nick Saban admitted he is human. That will come as a big surprise to not-Alabama football fans across America. It turns out the oft-portrayed Darth Saban has flaws – human flaws no less.

Saban responded to why he is still an onfield coach during Alabama practices. He gave a detailed and thoughtful football-related response and more. Watch below, compliments of Rick Karle of WBRC.

Does Nick Saban have Attention Deficit Disorder? According to the coach, he just might (after all he says, his leg shakes in church)! Saban was asked Thursday evening why he loves coaching defensive backs- the reasons? ADD and Buddy Ryan! Now that should get your attention (even Nick's)! Great stuff from the Alabama coach as he tells a fun story in 3 minutes with the clock running. Give the coach a "like" if you enjoy hearing his stories, & feel free to share.

And that Alabama fans, is the big reveal for A-Day. Nick Saban admits to human frailty, even if it is only a small imperfection.

Will there be more reveals inside Bryant-Denny on Saturday? Not a chance.
