Every year, the Bulldogs and Dan Mullen seem to have these high expectations of achieving greatness. It seems like there is at least one goofy analyst that gives these poor fans hope by claiming that State has a chance to make it to the SEC Championship. Is there a chance MSU could make it to Atlanta? Sure. There was also a chance James Franklin would stay at Vanderbilt and build a “program.” Every now and then we do see a flash of greatness from Mullen’s Bulldogs, but like the wind it seems to die just as quickly. Similar to Mississippi State, the matches needed to light a grill aren’t the most dependent tailgating supply. While a necessary evil, if that matchbook gets wet it is ruined. If you try to light the fire while there is even a slight breeze, they will probably burn out. However, be warned – if you mess with them too long they will burn you.
