The Tide wide receiver went out this week and tied D.J. Hall’s single game school record of receptions in a game so you should know that Cooper would get a nod here.
Amari Cooper had another great game through the air as he tied Hall’s record of 13 receptions in single game for 189 yards in the game. He averaged 14.5 yards per catch as well as scoring one touchdown. Not only did Cooper do it with catches, but he also carried the ball for one play of 20 yards in the opening drive on the first play from scrimmage.
Cooper not only leads the Tide but also sits atop the NCAA standings with the most receiving yards this season with 319 and in average receiving yards per game with 159.5. How does that compare to last year? In just two games, he is closing in on half of his 2013 season total which was 736 yards.
