Blake Sims went out against Florida Atlantic and was, well, Blake Sims.

You can’t ask for more from this kid. It’s been a total transformation from the quarterback I saw in the A-Day game to the guy I see now on the field under center. While he’s not the flashiest quarterback that will dazzle you with down field passes, he goes out and takes care of the ball, while still putting up respectable numbers thus far in the season.

In the Florida Atlantic game, Sims was nearly perfect on his passes. He attempted 13 throws and completed 11 of those for 214 yards with one touchdown. He also added one on the ground as well. Sims doesn’t think about the quarterback competition and said in interviews after the game, he will cheer for which ever one the coaches send out there. He’s a humble person and doing his job, too. For that, he gets a hat tip from this Alabama fan. And I get to use this as a bonus, too.
