TENNESSEE vs. PENN STATE

THE CASE FOR TENNESSEE:

Oh the hill people, how we love to hate them. We’ve always had a rivalry with the hill people, but Fulmer’s tattling to the NCAA really put the rivalry into overdrive. It’s been 3,170 days since Tennessee last beat Alabama in football, and I’ve enjoyed every one of them.

Oh I know Tennessee fans, this year is the year you rise up and beat us. The threat lost some of its potency the 6th time you used it.

THE CASE FOR PENN STATE:

I can think of a couple of reasons to hate Penn State. I mean there is certainly the history between the two, including the 1979 Sugar Bowl. Although I don’t blame the Penn State fanbase for what their coaches did, or didn’t do, I can blame them for the way they reacted to the scandal.

OREGON vs. GEORGIA

THE CASE FOR OREGON:

Alabama and Oregon have never played football, so how can they be on this list? Well, that might be exactly the reason they are on this list.

Remember these?

Oregon has constantly said that they could take Bama, and yet never gotten the chance. They are just sure that they would be able to run over Alabama with their might offense.

Sure they’ve been saying that for years and never actually won a national championship, but who’s counting right?

THE CASE FOR GEORGIA:

Oh the holier than thou man of the cloth Mark Richt. How many Atlanta Journal Constinution stories of his great kindness and love for all men must we endure? How many stories of the evils of Nick Saban and how his oversigning is the only thing holding back the might Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia is the most mediocre team ever. Nobody does less with more than Mark Richt. Every year we hear about how Georgia has the best running back, QB, defense, or whatever else… and every year they are headed to the Outback Bowl.

Georgia fans love to be the official moral police of the SEC and then top it off with an arrogance that you would think was bought with championships instead of bowl games in Orlando.

I’m sure this is Georgia’s year though, Mark Richt’s 16th rebuilding year is when it all comes together!
