Alabama football is loaded with a mountain of talent on the offensive line. Saban was not pleased with the offensive line play in the scrimmage. Some observers believe only Bozeman and Williams can be assured of their starting positions.

Center – Bradley Bozeman

Bozeman will likely be backed up by J.C. Hassenauer.

Left Tackle – Jonah Williams

Jonah Williams’ backup will likely be Scott Lashley, Matt Womack or Alex Leatherwood. In the event Tua must fill in for Jalen, Williams might flip back to right tackle since Tua throws left-handed.

Left Guard – Ross Pierschbacher

Backups are likely to be Dallas Warmack or Richie Petitbon, assuming Petitbon is fully recovered from his injury. Chris Owens is another player who could earn a spot in the two-deep.

Right Guard – Lester Cotton

Lester Cotton or Alex Leatherwood. Cotton leads now but Leatherwood will be hard to keep off the field. Brandon Kennedy is also a possibility at this position.

Right Tackle

Matt Womack, Scott Lashley, Elliot Baker or Alex Leatherwood. The winner in this war will be more than capable of delivering in the run game and pass protection.

Tight End – H-back – Miller Forristall and Hale Hentges

True freshman Major Tennison has emerged as a key backup, drawing praise from Saban and comparison to O. J. Howard. Ronnie Clark has been moved to the H-back position and should see action. Irv Smith and Cam Stewart will be backups.
