Alabama Football: Three Bold Predictions for Bama-USM
By Ronald Moody
The vaunted Alabama running game gained 76 yards last week. Yes, you read that correctly, 76. Primary runners, Najee Harris and Brian Robinson, combined for 15 carries, 69 yards and zero touchdowns on the ground. Damage for the running backs was done mainly through the air. Both backs combined for seven catches, 124 yards, and two scores.
Harris ruled Play of the Day for college football highlight shows with a play dubbed “The Run.”
Alabama pursuit of regaining their utter dominance on the ground begins Saturday. USM provides the Crimson Tide an exclusive opportunity to get back on track.
Ranked no.37 nationally in rushing defense, the Golden Eagles allowed 210 yards on the ground in their loss to Mississippi State. Alabama possesses a trio more enhanced than the Bulldogs so they should fare better.
As the first quarter of the season comes to an end, the offensive line creates massive holes for the backs. Harris, Brian, and Keilan Robinson rush for over 350 yards against the Golden Eagles to pacify fans distraught about the running game.
Alabama football covers the 38.5 points spread by winning 45-0. Next up, Ole Miss comes to Tuscaloosa attempting to rekindle 2015.
