Round 3, Pick 93 – This is where things start to get interesting for the Titans. After this pick at 93, they won’t have another pick until 174th overall barring trades. There are many possibilities with this pick. They just let Marcus Mariota go in free agency and signed Ryan Tannehill to a long-term deal, but I am not ruling out the Titans taking a project QB in the mid-late rounds of the draft.

There just so happens to be a project QB who might be available here if he falls a bit. Former SEC Offensive Player of the Year and Heisman finalist last season, Jalen Hurts. There is a chance that Jalen is already gone by the time the 93rd pick rolls around, but if he isn’t this could be a good pick for the Titans. Reminiscent of Dak Prescott and the Cowboys a few years ago.

However, if Jalen is gone the Titans have needs at TE, DB, and OL they could address here. This TE class is lacking in star power, but there are a few potential gems at the position that could go here. Thaddeus Moss from LSU comes to mind as well as Adam Trautman from Dayton.

If they decide to address the OLine they could look to Saahdiq Charles out of LSU or maybe Isaiah Wilson from Georgia if he is still there. Potential DBs include Michael Ojemudia (Iowa) or Amik Robertson (LA Tech).

Ultimately, I think Jalen is already gone by this point and they need to address the OLine to protect Henry and Tannehill. A TE here would be a hit or miss prospect and the DBs here aren’t better prospects than the OL. With that being said at 93 the Titans select…

Offensive Lineman. Tigers . Saahdiq Charles. 93. player. 817.

Round 5, Pick 174 – It has now been almost 100 picks since the Titans last hit the clock and the board has obviously changed tremendously in that time. The needs here remain DB and TE. The Titans could also be looking at a backup RB for Derrick Henry here or a WR to add to their young group. This could also be the spot where they find a young backup QB for Tannehill.

I’ll also throw out one surprise name that could start to be thrown around here. Rodrigo “Hot Rod” Blankenship from UGA. The Titans just let their Pro Bowl kicker Ryan Succop leave in free agency and that is now a position of need for them. I don’t think it happens in the 5th round but keep that name in mind because it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if it did happen.

With the 174th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Titans select…

Cardinal . Colby Parkinson. 174. player. 871. . Tight End
