Alabama football’s takeaways vs. Arkansas

3. This running game is more than Najee Harris

Najee Harris is the frontrunner to win the Doak Walker Award. He has been dominant all season, and he deserves all the credit in the world for what he has done as a senior for Alabama football. That being said, this running game has what it takes to be done by a committee.

Harris had multiple rushing touchdowns early in this game as he dominated in the red zone. He had his typical dominant performance. However, we saw more carries by the reserves than we usually do. Brian Robinson played like a starter, and he did incredibly well with his touches. This is one of the best games he has ever played.

Alabama fans also saw Roydell Williams and Jase McClellan in the second half. Each of these players had quality games. Williams had a bad fumble, but they still showed that they are the future of the running game.

Fans need to remember that Brian Robinson is eligible to return next season. We’ll see if he does, but his Alabama football career might not be done. Alabama also has Trey Sanders and Keilan Robinson out for this season, so they will be added to the attack in 2021. Fans should be excited about the future.
