Alabama football’s report card vs. Tennessee

Inside Linebackers: B

Christian Harris and Henry To’o To’o have been inconsistent this season. The linebacker group was supposed to be elite, but they haven’t lived up to Alabama football’s standard. Still, they are talented players who are more than capable of making plays. When everything goes right, they are one of the best tandems in the SEC. They just need to remain consistently solid.

There were still some tough missed tackles. However, the inside linebackers did a great job stopping the run, and Christian Harris assisted on a sack.

The inside linebacker play wasn’t the reason Alabama football struggled for so long against the Vols. They could’ve been better, but they were far from the weakest link.

Outside Linebackers: A

Will Anderson was coming off of a career day with four sacks last week. Without Chris Allen or Drew Sanders, he has seen double teams on almost every play. Still, he has been a dominant force as he proves his value off the edge.

Will Anderson dominated once again. He was consistently in the backfield for Alabama football, and he could not be stopped. He is arguably the best defensive player in college football, and no line can stop him right now.

Anderson is the reason why this group got an A. It’s that simple. You don’t have to overthink this one.
