CJ Mosley – New York Jets

2021 Stats: 168 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 sacks, 2 FF, 2 PD

One of the more experienced former Alabama Football players in the AFC East, Mosley returns as the leader of the Jets defense once again coming off a career-year in 2021.

The starting middle linebacker for New York, Mosley collected a career-high 168 tackles for the Jets a year ago, and should be set for a similar production total in 2022. Already a four-time Pro Bowler as well, don’t necessarily count out a fifth Pro Bowl appearance for Mosley this season either.

Quinnen Williams – New York Jets

2021 Stats: 53 tackles, 7 TFL, 6 sacks, 3 PD

Entering his fourth NFL season, Williams is the other former Alabama Football star set to take the field this fall alongside Mosley on the New York Jets defense.

Coming off a strong 2021 season, Williams is once again cemented as one of the Jets two starting defensive tackles, and should post a similar season to a year ago production-wise. As for numbers to watch for as well, keep an eye on Williams’ sack total this season, because the first rounder could potentially eclipse his seven-sack career-high mark from 2020.

Ross Pierschbacher – New York Jets

2021 Stats: DNP (Practice Squad)

After spending the 2021 season on the Jets practice squad, Pierschbacher returns for his second season in New York in 2022.

Looking at the 2022 season, Pierschbacher is likely a depth option for the Jets. The former Crimson Tide offensive lineman could potentially see time in 2022, but it would likely come in a limited role.
