Auburn Football: Your Weekly Auburn Zen – Clemson Edition

It’s that time again, where we look at the win/loss column and find the Tigers on the bad side of the ledger. It’s also time to see how the Clemson game affected the denizens of the Auburn message boards. As always, spelling and grammar errors are in the originals.

"We took on a top 15 team and played toe to toe with them for about 50 minutes."

"Our defensive backs can’t cover, our defense as a whole can’t tackle, and you think we’re going to beat some really good teams this year? I like the optimism but I don’t see it happening."

And have my basement dedicated to the bahr. And hit my wife. And have a personalized license plate that says ’14’. But seriously, disappointed."

"The only reason I am frustrated is because we had a chance to win it. Young teams with young leaders don’t know how to finish games."

"Re: Brian VanGorder His 80s haircut is an embarrassment. His defense can’t contain the corners, and we have no containment on the edge despite the hype."

"Maybe we did give the game away. I don’t think so….Clemson is good. They aren’t your typical Clemson team anymore! They are Big, They are fast/explosive and they are now physical! They are solid. We knew that last year. Plenty of positives to take and plenty of negatives as well………… The O is going to be ok. I believe that. The D is going to SUCK ASS. I BELIEVE THAT. I just want to SEE THEM IMPROVE! I swear to God, I haven’t seen an Auburn Defense in I DON’T KNOW HOW LONG!!!! EVEN the National Championship year the D was dreadful…… VG will get it done but I’m not so sure with this personal."

"Tired of the “youth excuse”. Tajh Boyd was in the same place last year as Frazier is this year, a sophomore playing his first season as a starter. 3800 yards passing and a conference championship. Sammy Watkins was a pure freshman, not sure about Hopkins. McCarron was a sophomore last year and led his team to a national champiohship. TJ Yeldon is a pure freshman and looked great tonight. Beginning to think this staff is not getting the full potential out of our team. I thought we just looked poorly coached tonight."

"Bottom line IMO is that satan is not a great coach, but a good recruiter who has the better players on the field every game that he coaches. We have seen several instances where he failed including La Monroe, 28-27 and the LSU game last season. I have never seen a game where it came down to his decision making as being an impact. Plus he and bammer cheat constantly and no that isn’t tinfoil talk, but truth. We have all seen the evidence."

"Tubs couldn’t recruite but his staff could coach. Chiz can recruit, and we have the most tallent we have ever had but yet we can’t beat a solid acc team. I have no clue what it means but I’m. It sold on all our coaches. Hands down more tallent than ever and we get beat by Clemson two years in a row."

"We should be more advanced in our play based on (history) other teams in similar situations, in similar conferences with different coaches. Chizik had a flash in the pan with CAM. A PLAYER Chizik had to be talked into to take his commitment. IF not for CAM, Chizik would have been already fired or fired by the end of this year…. Point is, anyone could have won with CAM. So, it appears we are recruiting is better, yet the results are the same (minus CAM)…. There is a issuehere folks, and its not the YOUTH excuse. OTHER coaches teams play better, with similar young talent. Bottom line is, without CAM Chiz would have been classified as a failure by now by most Auburn faithful…."

"we will most likely get everything fixed this week in practice and i can see us making a pretty good run through sept and oct and possibly/probably getting back doored in to the sec champ game after lsu bam and ark all beat each other up. sould win that and depending on the “politics” of it all might even get a shot in the mnc, which i know we can win!"
