Terrence Cody to be inducted into the NJCAA football hall of fame

"Former Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody will be inducted into the NJCAA Football Hall of Fame later this year, the organization announced last week. Cody played at MGCCC in 2006 and 2007, earning first-team All-America honors and helping to the Bulldogs to a share of the NJCAA championship as a sophomore. He signed with Alabama the following year, earning All-America honors in 2008 and helping the Crimson Tide to the BCS national championship as a senior."

Bucs’ Barron, Cowboys’ Claiborne quick to show their stuff

"“Morris and I have seen each other at certain events,” said Barron, who has 13 tackles in his first two NFL games, registering a memorable hit against Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith in the season opener. “I’m good where I am and I’m sure Claiborne’s happy where he is. It all worked out.”"

Deaderick & Dennard downgraded

"Deaderick, who played 29 of a possible 129 snaps through the first two games, has been utilized in the short-yardage package while sometimes giving starters Vince Wilfork and Kyle Love a breather in the base defense. He has played a few snaps at end as well."

Cincinnati Bengals Sign Former Chiefs DL Wallace Gilberry

"The Cincinnati Bengals officially signed Gilberry after losing Jamaal Anderson to Injured Reserve after week two in their game against the Cleveland Browns. Anderson tore a quad tendon in that game and will be out for quite some time, including the rest of the 2012 season as illustrated by the placement on IR."

Dont’a Hightower Praises Tavon Wilson

"New England Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower praised fellow rookie Tavon Wilson in a Q&A that can be read in full on ESPN Boston. When asked about Wilson, Hightower said, “Definitely a steal. He’s a great player – athletic, smart, fast, hard-hitting, definitely a guy behind me that I can depend on to be a safety, a guy back there who is going to stop them from making big plays. I feel like he’s definitely doing everything everyone in this organization has asked him to.”"

Mark Ingram: Ingram held to 11 yards in Week 3

"Mark Ingram was held to just 11 yards on five carries versus the Chiefs in Week 4.This is where Ingram’s lack of a role in the passing game kills his fantasy output. He would have had a chance for a short score, but Drew Brees found Jed Collins for a 3-yard touchdown instead. Ingram remains a shaky flex play entering Week 4 versus the Packers."

Julio Jones Injures Hand, Return Is Questionable, Fantasy Status Up In The Air

"The injury didn’t look too bad and Julio should probably come back into the game as long as he didn’t break any carpal or metacarpal bones in his hand. The Alabama product was projected to go off against the Chargers today, so if he does miss the game, it’s going to be a crippling below to fantasy owners. If it is serious, Harry Douglas would become one of the hot pickups in fantasy football for Week 4."

Bills’ defense bottles up Browns’ Trent Richardson

"Richardson did shake free for a 6-yard TD run late in the second quarter, but beyond that, he wasn’t a factor. “We did OK,” Williams said of the bottling up of Richardson. “We definitely had some missed tackles on him and should have done better.”"
