The Houndztooth Rules
We are all in favor of good natured smack talk between rivals, but do understand that there needs to be a few guidelines as well.
The idea is to operate a message board that Alabama fans along with fans of other schools can use and enjoy, and that fans of all schools can communicate with each other. The site is free and registration is open to anyone. However, the future of this site depends on the cooperation, participation, and support of its members, and the respect of the guidelines that help govern it. The administrators rely on the members to advise them of violations of the forum rules. If you should see any posts that break one of the rules, please use the Report to Mod button located in the questionable post.
1. Choose your username carefully when you register. Check the members section at the top for usernames similar to the one you would like to use. Unfortunately, name change requests will not be considered.
2. Don’t expect any tolerance for statements, opinions, or views that are bigoted, racist, sexist, or hateful. Further, linking to sites that contain such content is prohibited.
3. Don’t engage in personal attacks on other users. Healthy debate and even the good natured ribbing are ok.
4. No nude or pornographic images are allowed. Other images are ok, but no nude men or women, male or female genitalia, or female nipples.
5. Don’t threaten others with physical violence or retribution of any nature whatsoever.
6. Don’t spam the board ( attempt to sell goods or services, or direct users to commercial sites, without prior authorization from board management.)
7. Try to keep all of the threads on topic. We have a private message system as well as an IM (Instant Message) thread on the Off Topic board that is continually running throughout the day.
8. Avatars images should be no larger than 150 pixels in height and 150 pixels in width. Signature images should be no larger than 150 pixels in height and 400 pixels in width. Both images need to be hosted on one of various free photo hosting sites (Photobucket, Imageshack, Imgur, etc). This is to help the page look well on everyone’s screen. Also images should be no more than 30 KB. This is to help the page load fast for everyone.
9. If you have any problems or concerns with the above rules or need help with anything concerning the board, please feel free to start a thread on the Help Board.
10. If you would like to start a Babe or Dude Thread with pictures that are somewhat revealing, please put NSFW (Not Safe for Work) in the thread title. Also, please refrain from posting those images in any of the threads on the sports boards that do not have a NSFW title.
11. Alters (a person that tries to have two usernames) are not allowed. We have multiple methods for sniffing out alters and trying to have one is a ban worthy offense for the Alter and Original user.
12. Common Flirting with a user is fine in the Off Topic Area as long as it welcomed by the other user. If the other user has a problem with the way you go about flirting with them, you can be banned for it so do so with discretion.
13. The board has a private messaging system. When sending messages, be aware that there is a “report to admin” button and if we are alerted to a message, we can see the message. Dont say anything you don’t want us to see.
14. Premium articles are not allowed to be copy and pasted here. You are allowed to summarize an article in your own words but do not post it in its entirety.
The administrators of The Houndztooth reserve the right to delete, edit, or move any post.
The Admins request that users report violations of these guidelines by clicking on the Report to Mod button located in the questionable post. All such requests will remain confidential.
Statements or postings that violate the above terms may be deleted. The administrators, without notice, may delete individual messages or whole threads, move them to the appropriate forum, or lock threads. All such actions are within the sole discretion of the administrators. Users who violate these rules may or may not receive a warning. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, the user may lose their account temporarily or permanently. Account suspensions are at the sole discretion of the owners of The Houndztooth. Further, the owners reserve the right to suspend or terminate a user’s account for violation of these rules without notice to the user.

USER AGREEMENT
You agree to indemnify and hold The Houndztooth and its owners harmless from and against any third-party claim, cause of action, demand or damages related to or arising out of: (a) content that you post or transmit (including but not limited to content that a third-party deems defamatory or otherwise harmful or offensive); (b) activity that occurs through or by use of your account (including, without limitation, all content posted or transmitted); (c) your use of or reliance on any user content; and (d) your violation of the Terms of Use. This indemnification obligation includes payment of any attorneys’ fees and costs incurred by The Houndztooth or its owners.
Any user posting on The Houndztooth is implicitly agreeing to these rules, regardless of whether they have been read or not.
